The Alabama Library Association’s Government Documents Round Table is providing a Webinar on November 18 at 10:00AM (CDT).  Just a reminder about the upcoming GODORT Webinar. Please join us for “Census 101: Basic Numbers for Every Community. ” Sarah Erekson, Regional Government Documents Librarian at the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida, will be presenting this Webinar and discussing how the United States Census Bureau collects and publishes information about people, places, and the economy. This session will introduce basics of searching the new data portal: data.census.gov. Using tools on that website, attendees will learn how to find data tables, modify table results for readability and relevance, and create maps based on census data.
