From the President
Greetings from your 2020-2021 Alabama Library Association President!
To all Alabama librarians and library advocates, I am honored to serve the Alabama Library Association (ALLA) as President over the course of the next administrative year and will strive to continually promote the ideals and mission of our organization.
I hope to provide valuable leadership in the upcoming year and show each librarian the value that ALLA has in regards to the provision of professional development, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy. Regardless of your library’s audience (public, academic, school, or special) or your patrons’ ages (children, teenagers, or adults), this association is organized and meant for you, the indispensable Alabama Librarian!
I invite you to take a look at our website, speak to leaders of our divisions and roundtables, and connect with your peers. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
I look forward to serving you and hope to see you at the next Annual Convention in Montgomery from April 27-30, 2021!
Daniel Tackett
President, 2020-2021
