GODORT Presents: "Backing Up Disappearing Government Data with the Data Rescue Project"

In an era when data produced by the federal government is primarily digital, it is also at an increasing risk of disappearance.  Lena Bohman will discuss measures being taken by the Data Rescue Project to serve as a clearinghouse for data rescue-related efforts and data access points for public U.S. governmental data that is currently at risk.

She says that her institution does not want to be publicly connected to the Data Rescue Project. Considering what’s been going on in the federal government this year (such as dismantling federal agencies and threats against institutions of higher learning), this is understandable.
