CSLD Presents: "Creating Affirming Spaces for the LGBTQ Community"

This 55-minute training will offer participants a foundation for understanding the needs and strengths of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, and the best practices for serving the LGBTQ community in a variety of settings. Discussion topics include language and terminology, a snapshot of LGBTQ youth experiences and the importance of community and family acceptance, and best practice approaches to serving the LGBTQ community.
