Speaker: Cheryl French, Visual Arts Teacher for Southside High School which is serviced by Community Outreach of Gadsden Public Library.
Participants will learn how to turn recycled paper goods and literary cast-offs into handmade paper! NOTE: Supplies will be provided, but are limited to the first 25 individuals on site.

Learn about Alabama Humanities Foundation (AHF) public programs. This discussion will include Museum on Main Street, a partnership project with the Smithsonian Institution; Literature and the Veteran Experience, a humanities based reading and discussion program for Veterans and active military service men and women; Literature and Medicine, a humanities-based reading and discussion program for individuals living with HIV/AIDS; Prime Time Family Reading, an award-winning reading, discussion and storytelling program for children ages 6-12 and parents; and Road Scholar Speakers Bureau, which provides public presentations and lectures on a variety of humanities topics by some of Alabama’s most engaging university and independent scholars. A tour of the Gadsden Public Library’s Museum on Main Street “Hometown Teams” traveling exhibition will follow presentation.
