Children's and School Librarian's Division (CSLD)

Welcome Message

The Children's and School Librarian's Division (CSLD) of the Alabama Library Association (ALLA) is here to promote library services to children. Our mission is to find innovative ideas to bring resources together, human and monetary, for the betterment of the children in our state. This collaboration should involve children, parents, teachers, school media specialists, public librarians, and all other members of our learning community. These partnerships will create stronger resources for reading promotion.

School media specialists and public children's librarians promote reading. Through our increased communication in CSLD we can accomplish a great deal of resource sharing to help us reach our individual goals.

Children need libraries! Join the Children's and School Librarian's Division of the ALLA and help create a brighter future for Alabama children. We need your help in planning, implementing, and managing programs that reach out to all children. Join us today!
